Intraday short strangle return calculation

Algo : Intraday short strangle

As per “Algo performance” tab, this strategy generated 22,00,000 using maximum capital allocation of 20 Lacs in last 1 year. That is 100% return. When it is combined with other algos, it showing 10% under 1 year return. Pls help me to understand

That is actually 10 %

Looks like data display issue , it’s took returns plus base capital for display

Hi @nijinwilson

I would like to clarify that the calculation shown on the platform is correct and accurate.

Under the Algo Performance section, the amount displayed in terms of value represents:

Base Capital ± Profit/Loss

In the case of Intraday Short Strangle, the maximum capital allocation (base capital) is ₹20,00,000. Therefore, a 10% return corresponds to approximately ₹2,00,000 in profits, making the total portfolio value around ₹22,00,052.50, which is exactly what is displayed.

Additionally, the return percentage shown in brackets is the actual return generated by the Algo. As visible in your screenshot, it is 10%, which is the correct return calculated on the maximum allocated capital.

I hope this provides clarity.
