How to manually stop/terminate the trade taken by Zen Stratzy Algo? Is ‘Pause’ button to be used or ‘Kill’ Switch? How to be sure that only existing trade will be squared off/exited AND further action by Stratzy algo will not be impacted?
If you want to manually exit a trade taken by an Algo, you can exit the existing position directly from your connected broker account.
Here’s how the different options work:
-
Pause the Algo / Turn Off Automation:
If you want to prevent an Algo from taking any new trades, you can pause the Algo or turn off its automation. Once paused or automation is turned off, the Algo will not execute any new trade, even if a fresh signal is generated.
Please note that if the Algo already has an open position and you pause the Algo or turn off automation, the Algo will also not execute the exit order when an exit signal is generated, as automation is turned off. In this situation, you would need to manually manage and square off the open position from your connected broker account. -
Kill All Trading Algos:
The Kill All Trading Algos option works at the overall account level. It will exit all existing positions entered by your trading algos, rather than only the position taken by one specific Algo.
It will also prevent any new trades from being executed for the remainder of that trading day. From the next trading day, your algos will resume taking trades based on their generated signals.
If you only want to exit the position taken by a specific Algo while allowing your other algos to continue operating normally, the preferred approach is to square off the position directly from your connected broker account. That said, please note that Stratzy does not recommend manually intervening in the trades taken by the algos.
I hope this provides some clarity.
Once the manual exit has happened successfully from connected broker account, the running Algo will NOT automatically take squaring off trades. Rather it will continue to sense for new/next trade to be taken as per algo program. Is my understanding right?
Once there is manual intervention and the existing position is squared off from the connected broker account, the position will be marked as Auto Tracked. The Algo will recognise that the position has already been closed and will not place an exit order for that position.
The Algo will continue to monitor the market and look for the next valid entry signal based on its predefined logic and conditions.
I hope this provides some clarity.
