What happened in Markets today? | 04/09

Nifty 50:

Nifty opened higher at 23,910.90, following positive global cues, and extended gains to briefly cross the 24,000 mark, touching an intraday high of around 24,005. However, the index remained relatively range-bound thereafter. Nifty closed at 23,897 or +0.10% from the previous day closing.

Our pre-market view saw a positive opening playing out: The index reclaimed the 23,900 zone and tested the 24,000 level, which remains the immediate hurdle to watch.
