Welcome to AlphaLab!

Welcome to AlphaLab - the community space for Stratzy clients, systematic traders, algo enthusiasts, and serious market participants.

This community is built with a simple purpose:

To help you better understand, use, question, and improve your experience with Stratzy’s trading products - transparently and responsibly.

How do you recognise yourself?

  • Trader (intraday, options, swing)
  • Investor (long-term equity, etc)
  • Both

Congratulations, this is your first contribution to AlphaLab! Welcome aboard.

Now, please take a moment to introduce yourself to our algo-trading community members. Drop a reply below telling us about yourself. A few lines is all we need.

You can start by sharing the following details:

  • Name :man_raising_hand:

  • Where are you based out of :house:

  • Your preferred trading style/ Investing Philosophy :chart_increasing:

  • How long have you been in the markets? :hourglass_not_done:

  • What you think about Algo Trading?:robot:

  • Fun Fact about yourself :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

And remember..

This is a place where:

  • Stratzy users can ask questions and understand how strategies work

  • Performance, drawdowns, and risk are discussed openly and honestly

  • Product, wealth, and technology teams share updates and explain decisions clearly

  • Discussions around execution, infrastructure, brokers, and regulations are encouraged

  • Learnings from live markets — both wins and setbacks — are shared constructively

What this community is not

To be clear, this is not:

  • A tips or signals group

  • A platform for guaranteed return claims

  • A space for P&L screenshot competitions

Markets are uncertain, and every strategy comes with risk.

This community exists to promote informed participation, realistic expectations, and continuous learning - not hype.

How to use the community

We’ve organized the forum into focused categories to keep discussions useful and easy to navigate:

  • Stratzy Algos → Questions, explanations, and discussions around strategies

  • Performance Updates → Periodic updates, context, and market observations

  • Drawdowns & Risk → What changed, what didn’t work, and what we learned

  • How Stratzy Works → Product flows, fees, execution, and operational clarity

  • Technology & Execution → APIs, brokers, infrastructure, slippage, and automation

  • SEBI & Regulatory Updates → Circulars, compliance updates, and policy impact discussions

If you’re new here, we recommend starting with the Community Rules.

We encourage thoughtful questions.
We appreciate healthy skepticism.
And we value process, transparency, and learning over promises.

Welcome aboard!

Happy to start this!

Name: Mohit :man_raising_hand:

Based out of: Mumbai, India :cityscape:

Preferred trading style / investing philosophy: I’m deeply into systematic and quantitative trading — primarily options strategies. Lately, I’ve been focused on building alpha through data-driven research, especially in derivatives, where I experiment with everything from volatility structures to behavioral/entropy-based signals. On the investing side, I like businesses with strong fundamentals and scalable moats.

How long have you been in the markets? Around 7+ years now. I have seen the power of algo trading up close while building strategies for firms like WorldQuant and Trexquant, and ever since then, I’ve wanted to make good trading systems and quantitative thinking more accessible to the Indian retail market.

What I think about Algo Trading: I think algo trading is the natural evolution of trading — markets are too noisy for purely emotional decision-making at scale. The real edge comes from combining research, automation, and strong risk management.

That’s also the larger vision behind Stratzy and this community - helping traders move away from guesswork toward a more structured, transparent, and process-driven approach to the markets.Happy algo trading everyone!

Fun fact about yourself: I’m building Stratzy (an algo-trading platform) and weirdly enjoy finding trading analogies from physics, biology, and human behavior research :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hey guys, I’m Manish and I’m based out of Mumbai.

Honestly, I started out playing it pretty safe with mutual funds just to build a solid foundation. But lately, I’ve been getting way more interested in the active side of things.

I’ve had money in mutual funds for a bit, but I only actually started dipping my toes into active trading earlier this year. Definitely still learning the ropes.

@Ppppp Welcome to Stratzy community.

Yes, time to give algos a real shot. Best part, it won’t divert your focus from your work.

That’s exactly what we are solving.

Over the past few years, my approach to the markets has focused primarily on the fundamentals-building a steady foundation through long-term equity investing and mutual funds.

While long term plan of investing remains a core pillar for me, I am currently expanding my focus toward intraday trading and algorithmic trading. The goal is to move toward a more systematic, rule-based framework.

I’m looking forward to learning from this community as I take on this new direction.

I’m Luba Dinani, based here in Pune. I wanted to share a quick update on my current focus.

Right now, I am looking forward to learning all about algorithm-based day trading. My goal is to understand how to use computer programs and automated rules to buy and sell stocks within the same day, which helps take the guesswork and emotion out of trading.

I’m currently diving into the basic strategies and learning how these automated systems work, and I’m really looking forward to learning from this community as I get started.
